Chris Barclay, Inclusive Education Coordinator
Ms Chris joined BIS in summer 2017 and brings a wealth of experience after teaching around the world for 30 years in a wide range of different settings. She is an Australian citizen with a Diploma in Teaching, Bachelor of Education and Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. Her work has included being a Special Education Support Teacher in Hobart, Tasmania, Classroom Teacher in Yantai, China and UK state schools, as well as teaching in the Middle East, eastern Europe and Japan. Chris is particularly focused on student counselling, behavior management, life skills, and child protection.
Hollis Magee, Inclusive Education Specialist
Ms Hollis graduated from Portland State University with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology, which included placements in Ecuador with a focus on supporting bilingual students. Her Bachelor of Arts was in Communication Sciences and Disorders together with Spanish from Temple University in Philadelphia. Hollis has experience in special education and has most recently worked as a bilingual speech language pathologist in a dual immersion school district in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Ms. Hollis advocates for meaningful and individualized interventions to support student needs. She is particulary focused on ensuring provision for special educational needs for individual students. Ms Hollis is also co-organizer of BIS Ski Club.
